MUSIC IN THE PARKS KICKS OFF JUNE 30
presented by the Flint Symphony Orchestra and The Whiting

FLINT, MI -- Music in the Parks, the outdoor summer concert series held in Flint City and Genesee County parks, is right around the corner. With a variety of music from Flint Symphony pops, to jazz, gospel and Motown, this year's schedule features four free concerts:

Music Under the Stars
Flint Symphony Orchestra with members of the Flint Jubilee Chorale. Enjoy fun activities for the whole family!

The Hot Club of Detroit
Listen as this award-winning band plays their style of gypsy jazz.

Music in the Parks
Music in the Parks is a free concert series dedicated to celebrating our diverse cultural heritage. It has been presented for 21 years by area organizations dedicated to bringing our community together through the magic of music.

The series is presented by the Flint Symphony Orchestra and The Whiting. Partners include the Flint Institute of Music and the Flint Cultural Center Corporation. Park sponsors are Genesee County Parks & Recreation and City of Flint Parks & Recreation. Concert sponsors are Baker College, Kettering University, Mott Community College and the University of Michigan-Flint. Entertainment sponsors are William Hentgen and Landaal Packaging System.
